1/4 mile range on 2 way Viper Car alarm, Are there better alarm systems? - viper car alarm prices

I bought my first car, 08 Toyota Corolla 5-speed, a few months and wanted a 2-way alarm system. I bought a model # 3002 Viper alarm with 2-way 1 / 4 mile range at Best Buy, because the installation was included in the price was over 340 $. I think in the range of 1 / 4 miles is not far, and I wish more extensive. Viper is a system that has 1 miles range, but more than $ 600.
I am happy happy about 80%, but I think to move on.

I wonder if it better Viper alarm systems that have 2-way paging, over 1 mile range remote start for manual transmission, perhaps not more than $ 400 and have a good reputation and are highly recommended for people.
